Robusta Serampas Promotes Conservation

Coffee of Serampas, Generally known as Kopi Serampas has been one of the local products in Jangkat, Merangin District, Jambi Province. During the National Social Forestry Festival (PeSoNa) 2018, the coffee of Serampas was presented in such a way that fascinates the visitors, including the General Director of Social Forestry and Environmental Partnership, Bambang Supriyanto, right after officially began the festival held in Ratu Convention Center in Jambi Province.

The coffee of Serampas is a processed product by local communities of Serampas covering five villages namely Renah Alai, Rantau Kermas, Lubuk Metilin, Tanjung Kasri and Renah Kemumu. The coffee has long been an agricultural product of local communities of Serampas. In addition, they believed that their great ancestors have planted this coffee where locals name it as Kopi Sta.
